A Sean Penn film about the storming of the Capitol: Who will star in it?

According to the American media outlets Variety and Deadline, Sean Penn is set to direct and produce a feature film about the storming of the Capitol.

The film will follow the story of a police officer facing the terrible insurrection which took place on January 6, 2021—a role that could be played by Bradley Cooper. According to the same sources, filming is expected to begin in mid-2027.

According to industry publications, Warner Bros. has acquired the rights to his upcoming film. The choice of distributor adds an ironic twist to the story: the legendary studio is currently in the process of being acquired by Paramount Skydance, whose CEO, David Ellison, is a close associate of Donald Trump.
