Documentary on the Gallagher brothers’ reconciliation headed Venice Film Festival

It’s official. The documentary Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger, chronicling the Gallagher brothers’ reunion (and reconciliation) during their Oasis Live ’25 tour, will have its world premiere at the 83rd Venice Film Festival.

Produced by Magna Studios, presented by Sony Music Vision, and written by Steven Knight (creator of the must-see series Peaky Blinders), the film offers audiences an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at this historic reconciliation, following a 15-year feud. In particular, it features the very first joint interview with Noel and Liam Gallagher in two decades, according to the media outlet 20 Minutes.

Directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, this feature film also benefits from the contribution and immense talent of cinematographer Haris Zambarloukos. On the audio side, the work was entrusted to Oscar-winning sound engineers James Mather and Tarn Willers. Nothing but big names for a project that promises to be epic!

Before its release on the famous Disney+ platform, the documentary will have a special theatrical release on September 9 in IMAX theaters, followed by a release on September 11 in other theater chains. What remains unclear is the exact date of the screening at the Venice Film Festival and whether the Gallagher brothers will actually be present on the Lido.
