The news is out: the Italian production company Lux Vide (part of the Fremantle group) is currently developing a biopic series on the life of the famous Milanese fashion designer Giorgio Armani, who passed away in September 2025.
Known for dressing and enhancing the looks of Hollywood’s biggest stars, and for designing costumes for more than 200 films, fashion designer Giorgio Armani is now the subject of a major television series directed by Ferzan Ozpetek.“I saw him as a visionary and a brilliant artist. But also as a down-to-earth and very determined man,” the filmmaker told Variety.
The Turkish director, who is close to the legendary fashion designer, enlisted the talent of Francesco Arlanch, head writer at Lux Vide, to co-write the screenplay.
Committed to staying as true to reality as possible, the production has received invaluable support from the House of Giorgio Armani, which agreed to grant access to its archives, iconic designs, and historic locations.
