Singer (and actor) Sal Da Vinci joins the cast of "Toy Story 5" as Pizza cu 'e llente's double . The film will also feature the participation of singer Taylor Swift, who has penned a previously unreleased track for the soundtrack.

The world of Toy Story is set to surprise audiences once again with an artistic encounter that would have seemed impossible just a few months ago. Taylor Swift, one of the most influential singer-songwriters in contemporary music, meets Sal Da Vinci, a legend of the Neapolitan music and theater scene, fresh off his recent Sanremo Festival victory. Although they won't be sharing a stage on screen, they will be the protagonists of the same film project: Toy Story 5, the new chapter in Disney and Pixar's legendary saga.

Taylor Swift back to her roots

Among the most talked-about new features is the participation of Taylor Swift, who has written and recorded the original song "I Knew It, I Knew You", specially created for the film's soundtrack. The song will accompany one of the saga's most beloved characters, Jessie, the cowgirl introduced in the second film and who has become one of the most emblematic figures in the Toy Story narrative universe over the years.

For this project, the singer chose to return to sounds closer to her country roots, temporarily distancing herself from the atmospheres that have characterized her most recent productions. The track was developed with Jack Antonoff, the artist's long-standing collaborator and multi-Grammy Award-winning producer. According to Swift herself, the inspiration came after attending a private screening of the film during its production phase.

For the singer, this is a new chapter in her relationship with cinema. In the past, she has penned songs for major Hollywood productions, but this time the emotional link with the project seems particularly strong, with the artist recounting how she grew up with the films in the Pixar saga.

Sal Da Vinci lends his voice to Pizza cu 'e llente

While Taylor Swift's presence has attracted international attention, the real surprise in Italy is Sal Da Vinci. The Neapolitan artist makes his official entry into the world of film dubbing with the voice of Pizza cu 'e llente, one of the new characters introduced in Toy Story 5. The character is an enigmatic and unusual toy who lives in a small community made up of old, forgotten games.

The character will play a significant role in the evolution of the story, helping to expand the saga's narrative universe with new dynamics and encounters for Woody, Buzz and the other protagonists. Another curiosity: in the original American version, Pizza cu 'e llente is dubbed by Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny.

A story that confronts toys and technology

The latest instalment in the saga tackles a highly topical theme: the relationship between traditional games and technology. At the heart of the plot is the arrival of Lilypad, a modern tablet for little Bonnie. Its presence upsets the balance of the group and forces the toys to question their future in a world increasingly dominated by digital screens.

Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie and the other protagonists find themselves faced with a completely different challenge to those they faced in previous installments. The film alternates adventure, humor and emotion, while reflecting on the changing habits of new generations, without losing the spirit for which the saga is famous.

Directed by Oscar-winning director Andrew Stanton, with the collaboration of Kenna Harris, Toy Story 5 aims to renew the saga's formula while preserving its emotional identity. With new voices, new characters and a soundtrack by Taylor Swift, the film is set to be one of the most eagerly awaited cinematic events of the summer.
